Erythromycin
Indications/Uses
Bacterial infections of the resp tract, skin & soft tissue secondary to susceptible organisms.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult
1 cap.
Childn 6-12 yr
5-7.5 mL,
2-6 yr
2.5-5 mL,
1-2 yr
1.5-2.5 mL. Doses to be taken tid or qid.
Administration
Should be taken on an empty stomach.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity.
Special Precautions
Impaired hepatic function.
Adverse Reactions
GI disturbances; urticaria & mild skin eruptions.

Drug Interactions
May potentiate action of carbamazepine, cyclosporin, theophylline & warfarin. Combination w/ ergotamine increases risk of peripheral ischemia.
